Zena Kay Morse, 78, of Midland, Texas, passed away on January 3, 2021 in Odessa, Texas.

Memorial Service will be held Saturday January 9, 2021 at 2:00pm at Home Line Baptist Church, 3500 Anetta Drive, Midland, Texas 79703 with Pastor Robb Foreman officiating.  Seating will be partially limited due to COVID-19, and COVID-19 protocols will be in place. The service will be streamed live online at Homelinebaptistchurch.com.

Zena Kay was born in Big Spring, Texas to Woner and Lillie Robinson on May 15, 1942.  She went to school at Coahoma High School and Howard Junior College.  She married Lloyd Morse on November 20, 1970.  She operated a ceramic business out of her home for many years, teaching classes and winning many awards with her art.  In 1992, she opened Chenille Creations, a computerized embroidery retail store in Midland that operated for over 25 years.  The business was integral to the community and high school with the work on patches, letters, and letterman jackets.  She did a great deal of work with the Midland County Sheriff's Mounted Patrol Unit and was named an honorary member of the patrol in November 5, 2014.

After retiring, she has been actively making pillows and blankets for donation to the Cooks Children’s Hospital in Ft Worth, pillows for breast cancer patients, and many, many other charities.

She adopted everyone she met as one of her own.  She was a gatherer of people.

Zena Kay is survived by her husband Lloyd Morse, Children: Steve Morse and wife, Bonnie of San Marcus, Texas, Terri Wayland of Abilene, Texas, Mark Morse and wife, Monica of Midland, Texas, Tiffany Grant and husband Jerry, of Brownwood, Texas, Charles Morse of Midland, Texas, and Joe Wayland of Midland, Texas.  Grandchildren:  Dee Haley, Scott Brown II, Miranda Morse, Macklin Morse, Regan Caroll, Rusti Scott, Justin Morse, Mindi Basinger, Daniel Lloyd Fitting, Kallie Hughes, Raine Wayland, Jordan Wayland.  Great-grandchildren:  Alex Molina, Cori Caroll, Eden Scott, Zoe Scott, Keera Johnson, Dominic Snow, Christian Snow, Johnny Fitting, Leslie Ray Jr, Briana Elrod, Chandler Haley, Shaun Haley, Peyton Haley, Kayla Tamlin, Michael Tamlin, Donna Brown.  Also survived by her brothers:  Darrell Robinson and wife, Kathy, and Mac Robinson and wife, Loretta and sister Sherilyn Gilmore and husband, Gary.
