Wanda was born in Ranger, Texas on September 27, 1936, to Ethel Keck Thomas and Leroy Thomas.  She attended high school in Midland, Texas and graduated from Nooksack Valley High in Washington State.  Shortly after she made her way back to Texas.  On January 10, 1956, she married Robert Lomax.  They had four children together and lived in Odessa, Texas.  She was a long-time employee with Coca-Cola.  After retirement, she enjoyed working for the Census Bureau.  She was a member of Parkview Church of Christ and enjoyed going to church.  She read her Bible daily.  Wanda loved sports, especially the Texas Rangers, the Dallas Cowboys and some MOJO Football.  Music was a huge part of her life, and she enjoyed all types, from Elvis to ZZ top and everything in between.  She loved to watch Murder Mysteries and then discuss them with her children.  She kept up with special events and what was going on in the world.  She loved being outside and spending time with friends and family.  She loved her grandkids and kept up with them as well.  She loved cats, especially Diablo, and her love for cats showed in her daily life as she was the sweetest, most kindhearted lady you ever met.  Her children remember her as a dedicated Christian and loving mother who always encouraged them to do the right thing.

Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and Leroy Thomas and her infant child, Robin.

Wanda is survived by her husband Robert Lomax of Odessa, Texas.  Her children; Randy Lomax of Big Spring, Texas, Doni Lomax of Odessa, Texas and Craig Lomax and Heather Golden of Odessa, Texas.  Her sister Carolyn and Richard Siler of Odessa, Texas and Glenda and Milton McMillan of Ballinger, Texas.  Her grandchildren; Jennifer Lomax Wood, Joshua and Lindsey Lomax and Nicole Lomax.  Her great grandchildren; Keegan, Aiden and Knox.
