Sharon Lea Cecil, 71, of Odessa, TX passed away on November 17,2020 in Odessa.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 1700 N Texas with Pastor Terry Pugh of First United Pentecostal Church officiating. Burial will directly follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Sharon Lea Henson was born in Big Spring, TX to Calvin Jewel and Gloria Henson on August 6, 1949. She attended Odessa High School in Odessa, TX. She married Larry Cecil on March 14, 1969 in Grants, NM. She was an office manager for Dr. Prema Vindhya for 20 years. Sharon was involved in choir with the church as well as served on the hospitality committee and her and Larry were the life group leaders for couples’ group. She was devoted to her love of God and her involvement with the church. She often sang special solos monthly and when she was younger, she spent time traveling with her mom Gloria and sister Shirley to many different churches across Texas for a “singing” as well. Singing was a passion of hers, she would be called on to preform “One Day at A Time” quite often during service by late Rev. J.T. Pugh. She was an extraordinarily strong presence in all her loved one’s life’s. Sharon shared 51 wonderful years with Larry her husband and was a key example to us all of love and marriage they were sweethearts till the end and will continue on the streets of gold.

Sharon Lea Cecil is preceded in death by her father Calvin Jewel Henson; sister Bobbie Jo; brother Terry Vonn; maternal grandparents Elmer and Ruby Dorris and paternal grandparents David and Fannie Bell Henson.

Sharon is survived by husband Larry Cecil; daughter Lesa Lea Hubbard and husband Dennis; son Kelly Vonn Cecil and wife Sarah; sister Shirley and husband Tim; sister Reda and husband Robert; brother Tony and wife Alicea; brother Kerry and wife Cristie; and wife Dolly of late brother Terry Henson her mother Gloria Henson; grandchildren Brytton Huber, Megan Davis and husband Shawn, Alyssa Jewel Huber, Gage Hubbard and wife Camri, Hulen Hubbard, Kendra Cecil and Cohen Hubbard; and her beloved great grandchildren Braigh’lea Huber(Alyssa) and Bryxton Wayne Huber (Brytton). All blessed to have her as she was also adored as “favorite” aunt by numerous nieces and nephews whom she treated as if they were her own.

Pallbearers will be Rodd Huber, Brytton Huber, Cohen Hubbard, Hulen Hubbard, Shawn Davis, and Chris Stucks.

The family of Sharon Lea Cecil wishes to extend our sincere appreciation to First United Pentecostal Church, Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, ICU Nursing staff at Medical Center Hospital and the many family and friends.
