Ruffus Harwell

Rufus David Harwell, 86, of Odessa passed away on January 3, 2020 in Odessa, TX.

Memorial service will be held Monday, January 6, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.

David was born in Rolla, AR to William Thomas Harwell and Edna Mae Walker on November 25, 1933.  He went to school in Stephens, AR.  He married Charles Marie Ives on May 28, 1960.  He was owner of Dave’s Mobil Homes from which he retired in 1984.  He then began helping Charles Marie with Charles Marie’s for Grandmothers.  David was raised in the Methodist Church.

David was preceded in death by his parents William and Edna, brothers Cicero Harwell and Billy Harwell, sister Mittie Yeager, daughters Glenda Fenton and Ann Lynn.

He is survived by his wife Charles Marie Harwell, daughter Allene Mashburn and her husband James, 4 grandchildren: Tony Davis, Loyd Mashburn and wife Marie, Ann Marie Headrick and husband Dairrell, and Lyle Mashburn and 7 great grandchildren.
