Robert Massey

Robert Wayne Massey, 59, of Odessa, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023.

There will be a graveside service at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at 4:00 PM. Following the service there will be a reception at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Family Center until 6:00 PM.

Bobby was born in Odessa, TX, to Bill Massey and Judy Hampton on January 26, 1963.  He graduated from Permian High School in 1981, with fun memories of wearing #22 and winning State in 1980. He had three daughters and one son and later married Laurie Rimes Decair on January 15, 2021.  He was the general manager at M&L Valve Service, now Bay Valve, for 40 years.

Robert Massey is survived by his wife, Laurie Massey; father and stepmother, Nancy and Bill Massey; his children, and their spouses, Megan and Bryan Vaughan, Michelle and Dustin Stum, Lauren and Carson Arrington, and Robby Massey. He is also survived by his six grandchildren which he dearly loved.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Judy Hampton; and his brother, BD Massey. He will be laid to rest next to his brother. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to everyone for all their thoughts and prayers.
