Michael “Mike” David Smith, 51 years old, of Odessa, TX, passed away on August 31, 2021, in Odessa, TX.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, September 6, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Pugh of First United Pentecostal Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.

Mike was born in Pecos, TX to Linda Smith and Grady Smith on August 14th, 1970. He went to school at Pecos High School. He married Melissa Smith on June 15th, 1991, in Pecos, TX. He completed welding school at Odessa College. He worked as a Prem Tech with AT&T for 6 years.

Mike is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, George and Sally Smith of Pecos, TX; maternal grandparents, George and Mary Bishop of Pecos, TX; and stepfather, Byron Bunce of Pecos, TX.

Mike is survived by his wife, Melissa Smith; daughter, Ariel Taylor and her husband Joshua Taylor; son, Jonathan Smith and his wife Alejandra Smith; youngest daughter, Mariah Smith and her fiancé Marcelo Niavez; sister, Becky Smith; parents, Linda Smith and Grady Smith; and grandchildren, Alexia Taylor, Aria Taylor, Josiah Taylor, and Sarah Smith.
