Mary Elizabeth Fambro, our beloved Mother, Mema, and Great-Mema went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, April 25, 2022, at her residence.
Mary was born September 15, 1937, to Evelyn and Dominic “Salty" Thomas in Borger, TX and attended school in Odessa. She met the love of her life, her best friend and beloved husband Tommy, at the Speedway Drive-In. Mary was a devoted wife and worked tirelessly alongside her husband to build Cardinal Homes Incorporated, their cherished family business.
Mary was a devoted wife and mother and loved every moment she had with her family and friends. She never met a stranger and was often heard saying, “I am so glad to know you.” When her children were young, Mary was very active in the Odessa High School Band Boosters and Boy Scouts of America. She attended every game, concert, and meeting for her children and as many as possible for her grandchildren.
Mary was a devoted Christian and always willing to share the Bible with anyone who asked. She attended Second Baptist Church as often as possible and loved her Church Family and Sunday School Class.
Mary is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Tommy “Pa” Fambro; and parents, Evelyn and Dominic “Salty” Thomas.
Those left to treasure her memory and carry on her legacy are her children, Mike Fambro and his wife Karen, Tammy Fambro and Jeff Fambro, her loving grandchildren, Tiffany Holley and her husband Toby, Kari Fambro-Hallmark and her husband Eric, Kevin Fambro and her great grandchildren Landon Hallmark and Kayleigh Hallmark. She is also survived by her sister, Rose Marie Hodges and her husband Johnny of Fredericksburg, Texas and her numerous nieces and nephews.
