Margaret was born August 31, 1940, in Chilhowee, Missouri to Louis Webster Loveall and Minnie Grace (Bales) Loveall. She graduated from Chilhowee High School in 1957 and moved to Texas in 1958. After arriving in Odessa, she met and married Curtis Shipman on March 7, 1960, but was widowed on January 23, 1982. Two years later, she fell in love with Ronny Joe Brown and on February 14, 1984, they were married. Margaret came from a very large family and was the youngest out of 12 children. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church of Odessa and loved to attend church every Sunday. Margaret worked for many years but after marrying Ronny, she opened 2 local delis because of her love of cooking. When anyone would visit her home, she always made sure they left feeling loved and with a full belly. Margaret was a mother to so many different people that needed a mother in their lives. She would sit for hours at the kitchen table listening to anyone that needed to talk and shared her words of wisdom. It did not take long before everyone knew her as “Gammy”.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Minnie Loveall, her husband Curtis Shipman, her son Darrell Shipman, 7 brothers, 2 sisters, and a grandson.

Margaret is survived by her husband Ronny Joe Brown of Odessa, Tx.: her children Dewayne Shipman and Pamela Shipman of Odessa, Tx.: daughter-in-law Wanda Shipman of Paint Rock, Tx.: her sisters Irene Bird of Santa Barbara, Ca. and Dorris Minton of Snyder, Tx. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Dewayne Shipman, Clint Williams, Curt Shipman, Erick Shipman, and Darren Shipman.

Our family would like to extend our sincere thanks to the many doctors, nurses, and other care givers that took such amazing care of her in her time of need.
