Manuel Bernal Mancha passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, September 3, 2021, in Odessa, TX.

Visitation will be at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, September 9, 2021, from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M.

Services will be at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church on Friday, September 10, 2021, at 11:00 A.M., with Father Fernando Bonilla officiating.  Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Manuel was born October 4, 1926, in Santa Fe del Pino, Monclova, Coahuila, Mexico, to Julian and Otilia Mancha.  He married the love of his life, Simona Molinar Mancha, May 25, 1953.  They had a wonderful marriage for 58 years until she passed in 2011.  They settled in Odessa where they raised seven children.  Manuel learned the ins and out of the concrete finishing trade.  Eventually he went into business for himself to form Mancha Construction Co., Inc.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Simona; his parents Julian and Otilia Mancha; his brothers Jesus, Cruz, Roberto, Fidencio, his sisters, Ernestina Rodriguez, Francisca Jordan, and Maria Molinar.

Manuel is survived by his children:  Jose and Sonia Mancha of Kermit, TX; Luis and Sarah Mancha of Highland Village, TX; Francisco and Gloria Mancha of Odessa, TX; Rosa Cortez of Lewisville, TX; Julian and Joann Mancha of Odessa, TX; Gabriel and Cristina Mancha of Odessa, TX; and Olivia Mancha and Alex Crow of Kansas City, MO.  Grandchildren: Christina and Adam Ortega of Midland, TX; Rebecca Mancha of Austin, TX, Jonathan Mancha of Odessa, TX; Christopher and Wendy Mancha of Corinth, TX; J.P. and Lisa Mancha of Dallas, TX; Manuel B. Mancha II and Rebecca Mancha of Odessa, TX; Matthew and Jennica Mancha of Odessa, TX; Francisco J. Mancha, Jr. and Cynthia Mancha of Midland, TX; and Joshua and April Mancha of Odessa, TX; SSgt. Adrian and Stephanie Cortez, stationed in Germany; Timothy and Rebecca Cortez of Arlington, TX; Julian Marcus Mancha of Odessa, TX; Valerie Mancha of Odessa, TX; Nicole Olivas of Midland, TX, David D. Olivas II and Elizabeth Olivas of Odessa, TX; and Amelia Crow of Kansas City, MO.  Numerous nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his sister, Rosa Trevino of Austin, TX, and his brother Gaspar Mancha, of Monclova, Coahuila, Mexico.  Manuel has 16 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 8 great great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be his beloved sons and grandsons.  Honorary Pallbearers are SSgt. Adrian Cortez and Timothy Cortez.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all family and friends for their help, cards, flowers, phone calls, meals, prayers, and condolences.  We extend our gratitude to Cecilia for her loving care with Dad these past 4 months.  His nurses Alisha, Erika, Kayla, Jay, and Kimberly who loved on Dad with not only compassion but kind words.  Our sincere thanks to Chaplain Jerry Liceras.  He shared the Gospel and beautiful bible verses with our father to help ease any fears or doubts.  Hospice staff of Midland, MCH emergency room physicians, and first responders, we thank you for your support in caring for our father.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a tree be planted in the memory of Manuel B. Mancha.
