Mildred Lavon Bean, 89 years old, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021 in the town of Midland, Texas.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Lavon Bean was born in Gladewater, Texas to Clarence Lee and Nora Jewell Smith on September 21, 1932. She went to school in May, Texas.
Lavon was married to Joe Pierce on September 21, 1949 and they were married for many years. She later married Lloyd Bean of Odessa, the love of her life, on December 23, 1978, until his passing July 11, 2020. She was great with numbers and worked as a bank teller in several banks in Odessa. She was working at TCB when she retired. She loved cooking for everyone; she made candy, enjoyed sewing and painting clothes. She painted beautiful landscapes.
Lavon is preceded in death by her mother and father, and both her 1st husband, Joe Pierce and 2nd husband, Lloyd Bean.
She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Ticer & husband John, Jenny Kading & husband Todd, Mary Bean & husband Steve; son, David Bean; grandchildren, Debi Ticer Masters & husband Mickey, Zachary Doyle, Meghan, Christopher, and Matthew Kelley; and many great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to Hospice.
