Kay Jarrell

November 12, 1958 — June 24, 2022

Odessa

Kay Rita Jarrell left this earth on the wings of angels and entered the gates of Heaven on June 24, 2022, at the age of 63.

Kay was born on November 12, 1958, in Odessa, TX, to Grady and Alice Glenn. She was a 1977 graduate of Permian High School, and she earned her bachelor’s degree in speech from the University of Texas Permian Basin. Kay was a loyal person and dedicated 40 years of her life to her job she loved at Barnco Inc. Kay was a wonderful and loving mother to her two daughters Misty and Casey. She was a devoted wife to her husband Terry of 43 years.

The thing that brought Kay the most enjoyment in life was her grandkids. She got great pleasure out of spoiling her “grands” and loved to talk about them. She loved watching them participate in their various activities and was their biggest cheerleader. She knew each of her grandkids personally and made it a point to enjoy their interests alongside of them. They knew their “Mimi” truly cared about them and her love was unconditional.

Kay was deeply rooted in her faith with her Lord and Savior. She found great comfort fellowshipping with her bible study ladies and made it a part of her daily routine to spend time embracing the word of God every morning. Her greatest hobby was writing in her journal reflecting on each day of life she was granted. Kay was a giver; she gave her time praying for others. If you asked for prayer, you could guarantee to be on her prayer list because she was a fervent prayer warrior. Kay also enjoyed giving her time to deliver meals on wheels alongside her bible study friend. She would take her lunch hour to deliver meals and enjoyed the fellowship with those she serviced.

Kay always had a positive outlook on life, even during her health struggles. She kept her faith in God and continued to be a constant inspiration to others. She was a kindhearted woman and found joy in sending cards to others just to let them know she was thinking of them. You could always expect to receive a thank you note form Kay as it was important to her to show her gratitude. She was a selfless and loving person and went out of her way to show others kind attention and let them know she cared about them.

Family was the biggest part of Kay’s life and she enjoyed creating wonderful memories with her loved ones. She leaves behind a wonderful legacy and has made a difference in the lives of those she touched.

Kay is survived by her husband, Terry Jarrell; two daughters, Misty Bolgiano and Casey Ramsey; son-in-law’s, Jesse Bolgiano and Garret Ramsey; four grandchildren, Cash, Austin, Averi and Wyatt; and sisters, Risa Craig and Patti Bentley. She had numerous family and friends that she loved and cared for that were supportive and played an important role in her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Alice Glenn and her niece, Emily Dawn Everett.
