Justin Graves

Justin Byron Graves, 43, of Odessa, TX, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023. He was born in Odessa, TX, on June 3, 1979, to James and Debbie Graves.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home from 6 PM to 8 PM. Funeral service will be held Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Crossroads Chapel 6901 Service Road 191 Odessa, TX 79762 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Garden. Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell will be officiating.

Justin had many friends from every walk of life.  He was a kind and compassionate old soul. He loved the outdoors and having fun. In 1996, at the age of 16, Justin was diagnosed with cancer. He relapsed four times and fought with grace and dignity each time.

2004 was a big year for Justin, he was cancer free in March, he and his wonderful wife Tara married in April, he graduated from UTPB in May, and moved into a sweet little home in July. He then began a successful career in sales. Justin’s greatest passion was racing stockcars on dirt where he met many of his closest friends and won many races.

Justin will be forever missed and never forgotten.

Justin was proceeded in death by his brother, Warren Graves.

Justin is survived by his wife, Tara Graves; his brother, Ryan Graves; his nephews, Cameron and Dalton Graves; his niece, Gracelyn Graves; his great nephew, Ivey Graves; and his parents, James and Debbie Graves, all of Odessa.

Pallbearers will be, Cody Anderson, Gary Gardenhire, Dalton Graves, Waylon Lacy, Kasey Nance, and Jacob Stiles.
