H.B. Baker

H.B. was born June 30, 1926, in Pontotoc County, Oklahoma to Harvey and Dovie Baker. H.B. was the oldest of seven children.

H.B. served his country in World War II and was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corp. Upon returning from the war he married his beautiful wife, Anna Modelle Orsborn in January of 1948. Later that same year he became the father of his only child Rheta.

They moved to Midland, Texas in 1954. He worked in the Oil and Gas Industry as a Pumper. He spent his time off with his girls, traveling, camping and visiting other relatives.

H.B. is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Dovie, his wife Modelle, his brothers James and Bill Baker.

H.B. is survived by his daughter, Rheta Ann Courtney of Odessa, his granddaughters, Theresa Seibold and husband Kevin, Melissa Killam and Husband Scott all of Odessa. His great grandchildren Blake, Jake, Hillary, Shelby, Caleb, Ameryn, James, Marissa, Kaitlyne, Josh, Shelbye, and Kaegan. He is also survived by five great-great grandchildren. H.B. is also survived by three sisters and one brother, Lowetta, Nita, Ann, and Barney. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.

H.B.‘s last words were “I believe I’ll have another drink of Dr. Pepper. “as it was his favorite beverage.
