Obituary

Francisco “Pancho” Chavez, 38 years old, of Odessa, TX passed away Sunday, April 17, 2022, in Odessa, TX.

Visitation will be at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Rosary will follow at 7:00 PM, also at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at 3:00 PM, at St. Mary’s Church with Father Bush officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Francisco was born in Oceanside, CA to Hipolito and Diana Chavez on September 22, 1983. He went to school and graduated from Odessa High School. He had numerous hobbies and loved being around his family and friends. Anyone who knew Pancho, knew that he loved to joke around, he didn’t take life too seriously, and would spoil his nieces and nephews when he got the chance.

Francisco is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Rosale and Josephine Hernandez, and his paternal grandmother, Rachel Mitchell.

Francisco is survived by his father and mother, Hipolito and Diana Chavez from Odessa, TX, his brothers and sisters-in-law, Hipolito and Hannah Chavez from Odessa, TX, Diego and Rita Chavez from Minnesota, Federico and Brianna Chavez from Odessa, TX, and Marc Chavez from Odessa, TX. He is also survived by his uncle, John Morris, along with his nieces and nephews, Renee, Lena, Brooklyn, Rhien Cash, Dominica, Angelina, Diego, Emilio, Haley, Alexis, Barrett, and Whitten Chavez.

Pallbearers will be Hipolito Chavez, Federico Chavez, Marc Chavez, John Morris, and Hector Garcia.
