Frances Moore

Frances Junelle Gaustad Moore was born December 25, 1931 in Waco, Texas to Florence Alma Somrude Gaustad and Jurgen Gaustad.

She was the middle child of three.  She was baptized January 31, 1932 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, in Cranfills Gap, Texas and confirmed there May 18, 1947.

Frances married Merrill Wade Moore September 5, 1952, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Cranfills Gap, Texas.  They lived in Cranfills Gap, where Frances was employed at First Security State Bank as a cashier.

Merrill and Frances moved to Odessa in August 1956, so Merrill would be near his territory as a salesman.  Frances worked at American Bank as Head Bookkeeper and cashier window until 1958.

In 1962 Merrill formed AIP Products, and Frances took an active part in the business.  The Moore’s are charter members of Lutheran Church of the Risen Lord.  Frances enjoyed teaching Sunday School, when the boys were young.  She was also active in ALCW and served on different committees.

Frances loved her family dearly, enjoyed cooking, gardening, and playing bridge with friends.  Frances became active as Chairman of the Board of AIP Products in 1980after Merrill passed away.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Merrill Moore, her granddaughter, Tiffany Moore, her brother, Emerald Gaustad, and her parents, Florence and Jurgen Gaustad.

Frances is survived by a son, Thomas Moore and his wife Terri, a son, William Moore, a daughter, Linda Blomshield and her husband Bob, a daughter, Barbara James and her husband Brusse; her grandchildren, Shayne Moore, Wade Moore, Kaeden James, Evan James, and KeeLee Blomshield; great grandchild, TinLee Blomshield; her sister, Valorie Carpenter of Kerrville; as well as nephews, nieces, and too many friends to name.

Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 6 PM, Monday, March 15, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating.  Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
