Faye Winogene “Jean” Carter, beloved wife, mother, granny, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother, went to heaven on Thursday, April 14, 2022. She was born on May 25, 1931, to E. Rastus Shaw and Ida Mae Nelson-Shaw in Granite, Oklahoma.
She married Lloyd Dale Carter July 2, 1949.
Faye is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, her parents, one grandson, three sisters and one brother.
She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Hudson and her husband Ray Hudson of Bryan, Texas; her three sons, Larry Carter and wife Vickie carter of Odessa, Texas, Danny Carter of Odessa, Texas, Carl Carter and Wife Cheri Carter of Odessa, Texas; ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
Bobby Cox companies employed her for 34 years as a manager of Texas Burger, number 1 in Odessa, Texas. She loved Spending time with her family, cooking, watching movies, and she was always known to be sitting at her kitchen table with a deck of cards playing solitaire while listening to Permian football games on Friday Nights.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Raymond Dale Hudson, Greg Hudson, James Carter, Brandon Carter, Michael Carter, and Troy Dale Carter.
