Ernest was born in Stanton, Texas to Margarito and Petra Albarado on August 8, 1946.  Ernest was a strong-willed, loving, and amazing single father that made sure his children knew exactly how much he loved them.  He was a self-contractor and worked as a carpet layer.  He always worked extremely hard to provide for his family and never complained about it.  Ernest was a TRUE Cowboy; from his cowboy boots to his cowboy hats and even his western movies, but most of all, he was a huge fan of Mr. George Strait.  He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, taking his kids to the duck pond was one their favorite memories.  He also loved Sundays with family, watching the Dallas Cowboys, dancing, karaoke, and always making memories to cherish forever.  Anyone that knew Ernest knew that he HAD to have a diet coke daily, and when he did not the family could almost guarantee you would not want to be around to witness just how grumpy he would get.  Ernest loved to eat, some of his favorite places and foods were; Taco Villa, Watts Burger, McDonald’s, tamales, menudo, red enchiladas, beans & cheese, and gum……..now, there was something about “Extra Sweet Watermelon” gum; we swear there must have been something in it that immediately got him to “popping” it.

Ernest is preceded in death by his parents, Margarito and Petra Albarado; brothers, Arturo and Francisco Albarado; sister, Dolores Albarado Levario.

Ernest is survived by five daughters, Stephanie Marie Magdalena Albarado (Luke Garrison), Melonie Deanna Albarado (Saul Garcia) (their mother, Tony Booth),  Laurie Cynthia Schaffner (David), Josefa Albarado (Gilbert Lopez), and Patricia Albarado (Olivia Martinez); one son, Ernest H.
