Doris Ann (Pittman) White, 90 years, of Odessa, TX passed away peacefully on July 9, 2021 in Odessa. Doris Ann was born in Anson, TX on March 25, 1931 to Maude (Hardy) Pittman and Ernest Martin Pittman.

Doris Ann married Joe Brooks White of Anson, TX on September 2, 1948 in Anson.

Doris Ann and Joe White owned Joe White Lincoln Mercury in Odessa, for 37 years. Doris Ann served as a Past-President and member of The Contemporary Study Club, a member of the Women’s Auxiliary at Medical Center Hospital, Past-President of the Parent Teacher Association of Burnet Elementary School, Cub Scout Den Leader, Brownie Leader, and a founding member of Fiesta Del Arte benefitting The Ellen Noël Art Museum. She was also a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School, The First United Methodist Church, where she was in The Builders’ Sunday School Class for forty years, and more recently The Bridge Church of Odessa.

God blessed Doris Ann with love, grace, beauty, patience, kindness, wit, gentleness, and faithfulness. Love was her superpower.  We are forever blessed and thankful to have been loved and nurtured so deeply by Doris Ann, as an angel here on earth and now in heaven.

Doris Ann is preceded in death by and now eternally reunited with her husband Joe Brooks White, her parents Maude and Ernest Pittman, her sister Norma Jean Pittman, her brother Ernest Gilford “Rod” Pittman, and her grandson Joe Brooks White II.

She is survived by her son, David and Pam White of Richmond, TX, daughters, Lea Ann and Johnny Walker of Houston, TX, Lyn and Kerry Giesler of Odessa, TX; grandchildren, Meredith and Craig Garner of Rancho Santa Fe, CA, Courtney White of Odessa, Wade White of San Antonio, TX, Houston and Amy Walker of Houston, TX, Joe and Kelsey Walker of Houston, TX, Jefferson and April Walker of Houston, TX, Justin Walker of Houston, TX, Kelby and Garret Davis of Odessa, TX; Kade and Monique Giesler of Odessa, TX; Justin and Ashley Heinrich of Montgomery, TX; great-grandchildren, John John and William Garner of Rancho Santa Fe, CA; David, Braxton, Grayson, and Charlie White of Odessa, Madison, Jack, and Kate Walker of Houston, TX, Annie Walker of Houston, TX, Hailey Walker of Houston, TX, Anderson and Rhett Davis of Odessa, TX, Anderson and Calison Giesler of Odessa, TX, Harper, Weston, Palmer, and Collins Heinrich of Montgomery, TX; and sister-in-law, Johnnie Lou and Joe Don Taylor of Odessa.

The family would like to thank Pastors Donnie Williams and Kelby Davis of The Bridge Church, who have shared their divine faith, love, and care.

Pallbearers are Houston Walker, Joe Walker, Jefferson Walker, Justin Walker, Kade Giesler, Garret Davis, David Brooks White II, Wade White, Justin Heinrich, and Craig Garner.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Bridge Church of Odessa, TX, CASA of The Permian Basin, or the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation.
