We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home
Christopher Patton gained his angel wings and was called home to our Lord on Sunday, July 31, 2022. Chris was born October 30, 1982, in Odessa, Texas, to Valerie and Jerry Patton.
Chris attended Permian High School and went on to graduate from Odessa College. His caring heart led him to the medical field where he spent his career taking care of others. His passion for helping others was widespread and felt by everyone he met. He was a true lover of people and sports. Specifically, the Texas Longhorns, MOJO football, spending Saturday nights under the lights watching his nephew race, and more recently, summer days at youth track and field meets, youth football, basketball and girls’ volleyball and soccer to support his kiddos. As much as he loved sports, there was nothing in this world he loved more than his kids. Lynnlee and Landon were everything to him and his legacy will live on through both.
Chris is survived by Nikki Patton; their children, Lynnlee and Landon Patton; sister-in-law, Lisa LaPlante and husband Michael; brothers-in-law, Phillip Breeding and wife Patricia, Lance Sparks and wife Lindsey, Jimmy Breeding and wife Lesley; his parents, Valerie and Jerry Patton; his second Mom, Patti Breeding; father-in-law, Jim Breeding; and his grandparents, Wade Throneberry and Ana Pearl. Numerous nieces and nephews, who he loved as his own, and a loving host of family, relatives, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his Memaw, Wanda Bernard, and great grandmother, Bessie Mae Ross.
The family would like to thank all their loving friends and family members who have been with them during this difficult time.
A memorial service will be held Friday, August 5, 2022, at 10:00 AM, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
