Brenda Marie Chisum, of Odessa,Texas, passed away peacefully on June 5th, 2021, in Odessa, TX at Medical Center Hospital.

Brenda’s wishes were to be cremated, with no services.

Brenda Marie Chisum was born in Jerome, Idaho on Sept 11th, 1948. Brenda went to school in Glenns Ferry, Idaho. Brenda was married to the late Gary W. Smith, well known as “Tiny”, of Odessa, TX. On May 26th, 1998, she married Billy Chisum.

Brenda was actively involved in and served as an elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Odessa, TX. Brenda enjoyed, and helped service others in the community in many ways. Brenda truly lived her life to the fullest through simple pleasures, chatting with her sister Linda Percy, and her numerous friends. Brenda had the ability to reach others in a deep, and positive way.

Brenda is preceded in death by her late husband Gary W. Smith, Claude and Marion, Chester and Doris J. Smith.

Brenda is survived by husband Billy Chisum of Odessa, TX. Children: Brian, and wife Alisha Shoemaker, Daughter Kim, and husband Brian Kwiatkowski, Daughter Sundi DeRosas, Stepchildren: Richard, and Gary Chisum, and Scott Smith. Sisters Linda Percy, and Debbie Johnson, and Brothers Ernie, Floyd, Bill, and Rob Johnson.

Brenda cherished, and adored her six grandchildren, Bria Shoemaker (Zach Bergt), Kaden Shoemaker, Gavin DeRosas, Alyssa DeRosas, Kolby Kwiatkowski, and Kylee Kwiatkowski. Also, Brenda thought highly of her niece Erica Percy, and nephew Jon Percy.

The family of Brenda Marie Chisum wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the Doctors, and Nurses at Medical Center Hospital, and Star Hospice, First Presbyterian Church, and her neighbors.
