Bobby Wright

Bobby D. Wright Sr. entered his eternal resting place on June 14, 2022, in Odessa, TX.

Bobby was born in Salem, Illinois to Eleanor Runge Wright and George Curry on January 22, 1947. He graduated from Permian High School. He obtained his associates degree in Electrical Engineering from Arlington State University. He married Paula R. Shaffer on December 19, 1965. He worked at Texas Electric, AW Thompson Drilling, Sharp Drilling. He owned Shooter's Supply and his own electrical business and was a Gun Smith. He loved hunting, fishing, silhouette shooting, bench rest shooting and prairie dog shooting. He was a beloved husband, father, and friend.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, brothers George, Jerry, Dennis, and wife Paula.

He is survived by his son Bobby D. Wright Jr. and wife Candel, sister Phyllis Koehl and brother Glenn, grandsons James and Quinton and two great- granddaughters Joniee and Coda, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 612 E. 18th St. Odessa, TX 79761, with Rev. Fr. Bernard Getigan officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa.
