Bobby Johnston

Bobby L. Johnston, loved son, brother, and uncle, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022, in Odessa, Texas.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Kris Howard officiating.

Bobby was born in Pampa, Texas to Russell M. Johnston Jr. and Glenna J. Johnston on Easter Sunday, April 9, 1950.

Bobby never met a stranger and never met a person that did not like him. Bobby was saved at 11 years old and attended church throughout his life. He played basketball for Special Olympics for several years. Bobby loved John Wayne, and black and white western movies.

Bobby is preceded in death by Russell M. Johnston Jr., father 2003; Glenna J. Johnston, mother 2006; and Karen K. Squires, sister 2020.

Bobby is survived by brother, David Johnston and spouse Elaine; sister, Judy Shields and spouse Doug; sister, Julie Johnston; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family of Bobby Johnston wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Ashley Urias and staff at Permian Care, and Cindy Roach with Hospice and the nurses at MCH ICU.

Pallbearers will be Austin Yost, Bryan Yost, Jacob Watkins, Garret Watkins, and David Brumm, with Jim Harris as Honorary Pallbearer.
