He was a heavy equipment mechanic before he put down those tools for a different set of tools and spent the rest of his career as a carpenter, remodeling homes, building furniture and other beautiful works of art. It is very likely everyone in the city of Odessa has a wooden bowl or trinket built by him. He was a smart, brave, intelligent person who loved fiercely.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022, 10:00 am, at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Bennie was not a frivolous person, but believed in supporting charitable organizations, therefore, in lieu of flowers, the family asks you consider a donation to The Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's research.
