Woodie Marcellous Grizzell

Woodie Grizzell, 70, of Odessa, TX passed away on July 18, 2024, at his home in Odessa, TX. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday Julu 22, 2024 at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral home with Jimmy Braswell of Odessa, officiating. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial. Woodie was born in Odessa to Bill and Lois Grizzell on August 24, 1953. He went to Permian High School and played in the band. He married Leslie on December 9, 1988, in Odessa. He worked as a mechanic from 1973 to 1989 and then work in the glass business until 1992. He moved to San Antonio where he later began his career in Pest Control and ultimately owning his own business. He was involved in the Ector County Sheriff’s Posse, Horse Roping and Pigeon Racing. He recently took up a hobby in building a village with trains that he really enjoyed. 

Woodie is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Lois Grizzell. Woodie is survived by his wife, Leslie Grizzell of Odessa, his son Billy Grizzell and wife Melissa of Odessa, His daughter Crystal Hughes and husband Ryon of Odessa, Grandson(s) Cody Hughes and wife Candace of Odessa, Tyler Grizzell and wife Chyann of Midland, Jacob Hughes and fiancé Danielle of Odessa, Bailey Grizzell of Odessa, Preston Grizzell of Odessa, Grand-daughter(s) Katie Hall and husband Aaron of Grandbury, TX, Keely Nixon and husband Taylor of Brock, TX, Karly Hughes of Brock, TX, Great Grandchildren Brently, Corbin, Brayden, Cydnee, Kason, Emory, Aynslee, Daisy and expected baby, Rytler, Sister, Nancy Hall and husband Ed, Brother- in-law, Jeff Myers and wife Karen, Sister – in- law, Tami Orren, and several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
