William Jordan
Mock Jr
Jul 4, 1941 — Sep 7, 2026
Odessa
William Jordan Mock Jr. (Bill), devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and loyal friend to many, passed away on September 7, 2026, at his home in Odessa, TX. He was born on July 4, 1941, in Navasota, TX, to William Jordan Mock Sr. and Margaret Novakoski Mock.
He began his early years in Katy, TX, and moved with his family to the oilfields of West Texas and Southwest New Mexico, finally settling in Midland, TX for his junior high years and graduating from Midland High School in 1959. He and his buddies put an old outhouse in the back of his truck and entered the Homecoming parade their Senior year, where they won first prize and fifty dollars. They then used their winnings to start their own private charitable club and called themselves “The Moonshiners”. They have remained close friends all these years and try to have annual reunions.
After high school he attended and proudly graduated from the University of Texas (Austin) in 1964 where he met and married his soulmate Sandra Tessier (MHS 1960), in late 1962. They married on August 31, 1963, and had just celebrated their 63rd anniversary just seven days before his passing. He is survived by his beloved wife; Sandie, his son; Kevin (Jayne) Mock, his daughter; Jenna (Todd) Tudor, his grandsons; Jordan (Katelyn) Mock, Cody (Cheyanne) Tudor, Kade Tudor, Carson Tudor, and his granddaughter; Kamryn (Marquis) Onorato, along with his great grandsons; Bennett and Colter. Bill was definitely a family man!
Bill was very involved with St. John’s Episcopal Church and School for many years, and numerous career related organizations. He owned the Permian Basin Metallurgical Laboratory until his retirement.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Faye Thurman; along with both of his brothers-in-law; Harvey Thurman and Rowland Tessier. Per Bill’s request, there will not be a public service following his cremation. He wanted to be remembered with the memories shared during his life and he will truly be missed by all who loved him dearly.
