Wanda Goodson

With heavy hearts, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Wanda Hockett Goodson of Livingston Texas formerly of Odessa, Texas has passed away. Wanda was born to Dewey and Wilma Hockett in Odessa, Texas October 12, 1947, and died in Jasper Texas, May 9, 2023.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 10:00 AM. Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell will be officiating.

Wanda is preceded in death by her son, David Goodson; parents, Dewey and Wilma Hockett; sister, Cathy Ward; and brothers, Dewey Jr., W.C., and Raymond Hockett.

Wanda leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband Larry Goodson; son, Mark Goodson both of Livingston Texas; daughter, Leslie Goodson of Odessa, Texas; her grandchildren, Garrett, Jessica, Kortlyn, Jolie, Tucker, Bailey, and Riley, sister Doris Baker and brothers Bill and Don Hockett.

Wanda was a strong-willed independent woman, but she had a loving heart and a tender soul. Her family was her everything. She treated her pets with kindness, care and love.

Services are entrusted to Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
