Wanda Rhea Edwards

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother, Wanda Edwards of Odessa, Texas passed away November 20, 2023, at the age of 98.

She was born in Winters, Texas on July 6, 1925, to Thomas and Allie Carroll. She met the love of her life, Alfred Edwards in Hereford, Texas. They married on July 3, 1945, in Canyon, Texas. She was a homemaker and helped her beloved husband in his business until the time of his death.

They started their family in 1946 with the birth of their first daughter, Barbara and continued building their family with the birth of second daughter Alice in 1948 and last daughter Jeannie in 1952.

Throughout the years her family expanded to 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Her greatest love was her family, friends, and traveling. She has traveled quite a lot in the last 12 years.

She is survived by three daughters, Barbara (Eugene) Rush of Hobbs, New Mexico, Alice Gee of Odessa, Texas, and Jeannie (C.A.) Popejoy of Odessa, Texas; five grandchildren, Chad (Stacey) Gee, Kim (Tony) Crowder, Sandra (Bruce) Dew, Shannon (James) Drexler, and Craig Popejoy; ten great children, Caleigh (Evan), Colby, Cooper, Brody, Brandon (Shelbie), Dillon (Grace), Baylie (Logan), Alyson, Ashley (Dusty), and Justin; and three great-great grandchildren, (Isabelle, Alexis, and Weston), as well as a host of family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Alfred Edwards; her parents, Thomas and Allie Carroll; son-in-law, Eddy Gee; as well as her seven siblings.
