Thomas Marvin White

Thomas Marvin (Tommy) White, age 91, went to with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 18, 2023, in Odessa, Texas.

Tommy was born October 14, 1932, in Young County, Texas to Wiley L. and Maude Johnson White. On September 14, 1951, he married his high school sweetheart, Beverly Daniel. ln November 1952 they moved to Odessa so he could work at a service station with his cousin. ln April 1953 he started working for Texas Electric Service CO, where he worked until 1992. Almost 40 years.

Tommy and Beverly began square dancing in 1954 and Tommy started calling in 1959. He called for over 60 years. During that time, he made numerous square dance recordings and made many wonderful friends. Tommy and Beverly DJ'd for many private parties for 30 years. Tommy was a member of many square dance clubs and associations.

Tommy served in the Army National Guard for 11 years and was a member of the American Legion.

 He is preceded in death by his parents; Beverly, his loving wife of 68 years; and two children, Marvin Wayne and Lisa Ann.

 Tommy will be missed by his cousin, Gary Don White and wife Terry and numerous friends. A special thanks to Walter and Kay Syverson for their love and support after the passing of his beloved wife Beverly.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, November 24, 2023, at Restland Cemetery in Olney, Texas, with Reverend Chad Edgington officiating.
