Sandra Sweeden

Sandra Kay Sweeden, 77, of Odessa, Tx passed away Friday, December 23, 2022, in Brownwood, Tx.

A visitation will be held at 9:00 AM, Friday, December 30, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, December 30, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.  Brother Johnny Touchstone will be officiating.  A burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.

Sandra was born in Big Spring, Tx, to Wilburn Walker and Willie Margaret Tindol on April 27, 1945.  She married the love of her life, Kenneth Sweeden, on

July 10, 1960.

Sandra was a devoted wife and stay-at-home mom.  She spent her days watching grandkids and crocheting for the arrival of each new grandchild, niece, nephew, and cousin.  She loved to sew baby blankets, quilts, gowns, and booties for all the new babies.

Sandra loves spending time with her family and friends.  She was an amazing cook with her famous fudge and divinity.  Sandra was a Christian and looked forward to her eternal home.

Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, Walker, and Margaret Tindol; her husband, Kenneth Sweeden; sisters, Yvonne Green, and Billie Curtis; and brother, Carl Tindol.

Sandra is survived by daughter, Brenda Morris, and husband Pepper Morris; son, Benny Sweeden; daughter, Shelly Luker and husband Danny Luker; daughter, Tammie Stevenson; daughter, Rhonda Tippit and husband Mark Tippit; 17 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Sam Grantham, Casey Grantham, Brady Spruill, Christopher Sweeden, Taylor Tippit, Jace Luker, Justin McCain and Brian Mitchell.

Our memories of mom will last forever.  Days of pancakes and gravy, chicken & dumplings, family vacations to the lake, and just family “time”.  It gives us great peace knowing that mom and dad are together again, and we will all be back together one day.
