Sally Ann Gardner, 88, of Odessa, Texas passed away on May 30, 2026, in Brownwood, Texas.
Visitation will be at 6 pm - 8 pm on Thursday, June 4th at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Friday June 5, 2026, at Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home with Jackie Brem of Second Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
Sally was born in Sylvester, Texas to J. B. and Bertha Miller on March 30, 1938. She married Jack (E.D.) Gardner on May 31, 1958, in Odessa.
She graduated from Odessa High School then worked at Kennedy’s and Lamar Elementary before taking classes at Odessa Commercial College. After attending OCC, she went to work at Dennard Electric where she worked until retirement.
Sally along with her late husband were active members of Second Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing volleyball and visiting with her church friends. Sally loved to travel, especially camping in Cloudcroft, New Mexico, but more than anything she loved spending time with her family.
Sally Gardner is preceded in death by her husband, Jack (E.D.) Gardner, her son John Scott Gardner, her parents J.B. and Bertha Miller, siblings Rowland Miller, Beth Sams, James (Bud) Miller, Jean Wilkins, and Johnnie B. Watson.
Sally Gardner is survived by her sons David Gardner and wife Larissa, Jack Gardner and wife Rene, grandchildren Brian Gardner and wife Amanda, Amy Dionne and husband Dan, and Tyler Gardner, great-grandchildren Eleanor, Leo, and Brody.
Pall Bearers will be Brian Gardner, Tyler Gardner, Blake Jackson, Stan Chism, Jim Watson and Jeff Watson.
Memorials may be made in Sally’s name to Second Baptist Church or to a charity of your choice. The family of Sally Gardner wishes to extend our sincere thanks for all the prayers and support and especially Songbird Lodge and Rehabilitation Center and Interim Hospice in Brownwood, Texas for providing comfort and care during the last few months of her life.
