Rudy Andrew Ramirez Jr., known affectionately as “Fat Fat” to his family and friends, passed away on September 25, 2025, at the tender age of 9. Born on April 11, 2016, in Odessa, Texas, Rudy Jr. was a joy and a source of immense pride for his parents, Jasmine Ruvalcaba, Rudy Ramirez Sr, and his sister Jezelle Ramirez. His untimely departure in Odessa, Texas, has left an indelible void in the hearts of all who knew him.
From a very young age, Rudy Jr. exhibited a spirited and loving nature that endeared him to everyone he met. His infectious laugh and boundless energy were the hallmarks of his adventurous spirit. He approached life with a vibrancy that could light up a room, and his curiosity knew no bounds. He was gifted academically, loved video games and the 49ers. Rudy will always be remembered for his forgiving nature, as well as his living and generous spirit.
As a student, Rudy Jr. displayed a keen interest in learning and was particularly drawn to the world of football. His passion for the game was evident whether he was playing with friends or enthusiastically cheering on his favorite teams, especially the 49ers. He loved the camaraderie and the excitement of the sport, and his dreams of one day taking to the field himself were as lofty as his jumps for joy after a touchdown.
Rudy also had a deep love for the game of baseball. He found joy on the field as a 3rd baseman where he showed off his skills and enjoyed the camaraderie of his teammates as they played. He proudly wore the #5, which will now be retired in his honor.
Above all, Fat Fat cherished his family. He was the glue that strengthened the bonds of love within his family. His presence brought a sense of warmth and comfort to family gatherings, and his absence will be profoundly felt on every occasion. Rudy Jr. had an uncanny ability to sense when someone needed a hug, and he never hesitated to offer one. He would always say, “I love you to the moon and back.” His loving nature was his signature trait, one tha made him the heart of his family.
Rudy Jr. will be remembered as a child who lived his life with a fearless sense of adventure. Whether he was exploring the outdoors or diving into new activities, he did so with a full heart and an eagerness to experience all that life had to offer, His spirit was truly indomitable, and his memory will serve as an inspiration to all to live each day with courage and enthusiasm.
