Roy Lee (Bo) Keith, age 90, of Odessa, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2026. He began his earthly journey in Mertzon, TX on August 6, 1935 entering the world with his twin sister Rose, born to the late Cleo Dean Keith and Ruby Mae (Adams) Keith Walker. He married the love of his life Laura Helen Hamlin on January 8, 1957.
Roy (Bo) came to Odessa from Mertzon in 1950 and worked diligently in the water well industry. Eventually, he owned his own company, K&W Pump Service where he drilled water wells and installed pumps for many years. Later he worked for West Texas Water Well Service before retiring. Roy (Bo) never met a stranger and helped everyone; and if they couldn’t always pay him for his service, he would strike a barter deal or deal in trade. He was always on call for any and all water emergencies. He dearly loved his family and loved taking trips with family and friends, especially to fish, anytime he could get away. Roy (Bo) was also an outstanding home gardener that kept the family and friends stocked with fresh vegetables. He also absolutely loved and spoiled his special little dogs Paco and Buddy, especially toward the end.
Roy (Bo) is survived by his wife of 69 years, Laura Helen Keith, his four children: Larry (Cheryl) Keith of Odessa, Dana (Darrrell) Massey of Gardendale, Ronny (Carolina) Keith of Odessa and Rick Keith of Texarkana, TX; and sisters: Wanda Sue Terry of Amarillo, Toni Nell James (Laurie Robbins) of Odessa; six grandchildren: Laura Lea Lewis (David Howard), Chryste Keith (Jason Stewart), Shaun (Kristin) Keith, Brandon Keith-Neatherlin, Taylor Keith and Katie (Kace) Garza; and nine great-grandchildren: Dakota (Makayla) Wilson, Averie Wilson, Abigail Craig, Maci Keith, Cheyenne Neatherlin, Gentry Neatherlin, Rhylee Neatherlin, Knox Garza and Kurt Garza.
Roy (Bo) was preceded in death by his parents Ruby Keith Walker and Cleo Keith, his twin sister Rose Preston, and three brothers: Noel “Bubba” Keith, Gene Keith and Dale Keith.
Visitation with the family will be held Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 6 PM – 8 PM, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 10 AM. Pastor Mark McDonald of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Odessa will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are entrusted to Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
