Rick Beardslee

Rick Duane Beardslee, 80, of Midland, TX, passed away on November 27, 2021, in Midland, TX.

Visitation will from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 4, 2021, Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating.  Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial.

Rick was born in Zenith, Kansas to Chauncey and Jessie Beardslee on September 18, 1941. He went to school in Zenith, Kansas, Wewoka, Oklahoma, and Odessa, Texas.  He married Betty Lou Davis on March 26, 1963, in Odessa, TX.  He worked as a welder/mechanic for French Tool and Supply, Cunningham Welding, Econ Placer, his own business, Steric Industries, Gard Trucking, and ECISD maintenance. Rick was a veteran of the US Army.

He is preceded in death by grandparents, Carlos and Mattie Newman; mother-in-law, Louise Ahfeldt of Germany; parents, Chauncey and Jessie Beardslee; first wife, Betty Lou Davis Beardslee; daughter, Connie Pate of Mississippi; granddaughter, Angie Marie Workman; nephew, Mike Sorrels; and nephew, David Harris.

Rick is survived by wife, Heidi Beardslee of Midland, TX; his children, Ricky and Donna Beardslee of Crane,TX; Devin and Cynthia Beardslee of Crane, TX; Walter and Karen Lindsey of Odessa, TX, and Karen Horsley of Midland, TX; as well as twelve grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
