Richard "Andrew" Treviño

August 12, 1989 — April 2, 2022

Odessa

Richard Andrew Treviño was born on August 12, 1989, in Odessa, TX. He was called home on April 2, 2022. His parents are Rick Treviño and Cynthia Rubio Treviño. His sister is Haley Treviño.

Through his dedication to education and service, Andrew graduated from Texas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications on December 17, 2011. He was a Real Estate Agent for the Doss Team, Midland 1st Choice, and was also an accountant for A-1 Plus Cleaning Services, LLC. As a member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, he was also the ACTS Core Financial Coordinator. Andrew was involved with several church committees as a Eucharistic Minister, an altar boy in his younger years, and lived his ACTS Retreat in 2017.

He loved anything sports. Andrew played basketball, football, and baseball, but was knowledgeable about every sport and team; was a member of several gyms, and consistently worked on physical fitness. He loved fashion and being very well dressed. Andrew had the biggest, most loving, and selfless heart. He had an extraordinary gift and ability to connect with people of all ages. For him, a text simply would not do; he made sure to make a phone call. Andrew also made sure to check up on people and loved sparking up conversations that ranged from meaningful to informational to random/silly conversations. His smile and quirkiness could light up a room in an instant. He was funny without even knowing it. Andrew is special and always will be.

Survivors include his father Rick Treviño; his mother Cynthia Rubio Treviño; his sister Haley Treviño (Odessa, Texas); his maternal grandmother Erminia Rubio of Midland, Texas; paternal grandmother Olga Treviño of Big Spring, TX; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Andrew is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Evaristo (Tito) Treviño of Big Spring, TX, and maternal grandfather Domingo Rubio Sr. of Big Spring, TX.
