Richard Padgett

Richard Anthony Padgett, 79, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on December 28, 2022, in Odessa.

A memorial service will be held on January 21, 2023, at 10:00 AM Central Standard Time or 11:00 AM Eastern Standard Time at Immanuel Baptist Church in Odessa, Texas. The service will also be lived streamed via Immanuel Baptist Church’s Facebook page is: facebook.com/Immanuelodessa.

Richard was born in Vine Grove, Kentucky, to George Richard Padgett and Emma Leona Thompson on January 21, 1943. He went to school in Vine Grove, Kentucky, and graduated from Vine Grove High School. He married Dianna Turner Padgett on April 6, 1987, in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. He served 4 years in the Air Force and then worked for over 30 years as an air conditioning/refrigeration technician in civil service at Fort Knox, Kentucky, where he was awarded several Exceptional Performance Awards.

Richard is preceded in death by (parents) George Richard and Emma Leona Padgett, (brother) James Irvin Padgett, and (two sisters) Emma Ruth Padgett Geho and Betty Jean Padgett Myers.

Richard is survived by (wife) Dianna Tuner Padgett, (son) Richard Paul Padgett (wife Amy), (daughter Sheri J Gray (husband Kenny), (stepdaughter) Reyes Alicia Hernandez (Husband Joseph), (stepson) Christopher John Rivera (wife Felicia), (sister) Doris Padgett Rogers, 5 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
