Rebecca Ruth Turner 92, of Odessa passed away on May 21, 2026, in Odessa.

Visitation will be 5—8pm on Friday May 29, 2026, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday May 30, 2026, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with the Reverend H.K. Thomas of New Jerusalem Baptist Church of Plainview Texas, officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.

Rebecca was born in Annona Tx to Ross Simmons and Estelle Turner on May 9, 1934, and went to school at Little Field. She married Willie James Turner on June 2, 1951, in Little Field Tx. She worked as a maid and housewife for many years; she loved gardening and cooking BBQ.

Rebecca is preceded in death by her parents, several sisters and brothers, husband Willie Turner, and son Donald Turner.

Rebecca is survived by sons, James Turner (Brenda), Harry Turner (Connie), Allen Turner, brother LeRoy Buckner, sister Betty Thomas (Rev. H.K. Thomas), 4 grandchildren, Valerie Warren (William), Travis Turner (Taylor), Brandy Houpe (Gregg), Jas’Rhric Turner, and 10 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers: James Turner, Harry Turner, Allen Turner, Travis Turner, Brison Henley, Devin Villarreal.
