R.B. Thomason

R B Thomason, age 88, of Big Spring, Texas, passed away on May 12, 2021 in Big Spring.

Graveside Funeral services will be held 9:00 a.m., Monday, May 17, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Scott Kirkland of Trinity Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.

R B was born in Marlow, OK, to James W. Thomason and Viola Milligan Thomason on April 10, 1933. He went to school in Lindsay, OK. He married Mary Dale Orr on November 17, 1953 in Lovington, NM.

He worked as a supervisor for Tompkins Oil Co. for 23 years prior to retirement. He was a veteran and served in the U.S. Marines. He was involved in the Shriners organization.

R B is preceded in death by his parents, James W. and Viola Thomason, sister Mildred Crawford and sister Angelea Shupe.

R B is survived by his wife, Mary Dale Thomason, daughter, Kathie Elaine Jones, daughter and son-in-law Mary Yvonne McKee and Richard D. McKee, grandsons and granddaughters Christopher D. McKee and Mai Ly McKee, Brian Ward and Amy Ward, great grandchildren, Kimberly, Tyler and Aaron McKee and Sean and Seth Ward, Sisters, Bernice Mills, Geneva Eubank and Donna Ward and numerous nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.
