Ralph Sandell, Jr.

Ralph Sandell Jr., 81, of Odesa passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025.

Visitation will be at 9:00 am, Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Ralph was born in Chicago, Illinois to Ralph and Mary Sandell on January 21, 1944. He moved to Pyote, Texas in 1949. He went to school at Pyote High School where he played tennis and won state championship in 1960-1963. He married Alice Eloise Sandell in 1974. He will be remembered for his easy smile and the kindness he showed to family, friends, and neighbors.

Ralph had many hobbies, one in particular was collecting coins. He was especially known for his love of football, rarely missing a chance to cheer on his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. He was also an avid fisherman.

Ralph is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Alice Sandell, his sister Loretta Wood, and grandson Jeremy Hampton

Ralph is survived by his daughter Tami Hampton and her husband David of Amarillo; daughter Terry Kirk of Midland; son Larry Agnew and wife Gene of Bangs; Grandchildren- Autumn Hampton, Justin Hampton and wife Brandi, Prisicilla McKaskle and husband Jay, Steven Kirk and wife Michelle, Alicia Monk and husband Ben, Daniel Agnew and Samantha Addy and husband Levi.

Great-grandchildren- Ty, Toby, and Tara McKaskle, Eleanor Hampton; Alex, Luke and Zachary Kirk, Lillian and Eleanor Monk, Cousin Ricky Sandell and wife Cathy, Sister-in-Law Wanda Ralston, several nieces, nephews, and cousins who will carry his memory with love.
