Mary Hughes

Mary Margaret Hughes, age 87, of Odessa, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012 in Odessa.

She was born May 23, 1924 in Duffield, Virginia to Thomas Jack Smith and Flora Elizabeth Dezarn Smith. She married John Woehl, and they shared twenty years together in their home in Odessa. Mary loved God, her family and her church, Antioch Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Hughes and her sons, Roger Thompson and Daniel Thompson.

Mary was a mother, foster mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include her husband, John Woehl of Odessa her daughters, Brandy Bridges, Tracy Hughes, Connie Hughes and Regina Huckabee her son, Luke Hughes her daughterinlaw, Jeanne Thompson and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Graveside services are scheduled for 4:00 PM Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Sam Watts officiating.
