Mary Alice Boren

Mary Alice Boren , 93, of McCamey, passed away on December 8, 2025, in Odessa.

There will be a viewing for Mary on December 14, Sunday around 3 to 5.

Funeral services will be held 10am Monday December 15 at Sunset funeral home with the Paul Thompson, officiating. Burial will follow at McCamey Cemetery. Arrangements are by Sunset funeral home.

Mary was born San Angelo Texas to Jessie James Boyd & Mary Ellen Boyd on May 18,1932. She went to school at McCamey high school. She was the best dressed in her classes because her mother made her clothes for her. She married James Leonard Cooper on April 4, 1960, in New Mexico. She worked as a receptionist for her husband Dr. James.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband Dr. James Leonard Cooper and her children Jim Barfied, Mary Davena Barfied, Joni Van Deventer.

Mary is survived by Grandchildren Samantha Little, Zachary Brazell and great-Grandchildren Davena Carrasco, Daelyn Little, Dahnae Little, Ma’atkare Little.

Memorials may be given to the family.
