Martha Molinar

October 19, 1958 — June 5, 2025

With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of our beautiful mother Martha Lydia Molinar on June 5, 2025. Born in Odessa, Texas, to Dolorez and Lydia Acosta Molinar. Martha lived a life marked by devotion — to her family, her community, and above all, her faith in God.

Martha was a woman of unwavering belief and spiritual strength. Her faith was the foundation of her life, guiding her through every joy and every challenge. She found peace and purpose in her relationship with the Lord, and she shared that light generously with those around her.

Martha was raised in Presidio, Texas, where she spent her childhood on a family farm. Surrounded by the wide-open skies and the close bond of her siblings, enjoying a simple life filled with love. She later moved to Andrews, Texas where she raised her two daughters as a stay-at-home mom. Her home in Odessa, TX is where she spent some of the happiest times with family friends and attending St. Mary’s church.

She is survived by her two loving daughters, Elizabeth Prieto and Melissa Prieto, her beloved mother, Lydia Molinar, and her honorary grandson, who brought her great joy, Landon Bara. She is also survived by her five brothers: Rogelio Molinar, Br. John David – Ernest Molinar, Jaime Molinar (and wife Jeanette), Victor Molinar, and Jorge Molinar (and wife Santos); and her three sisters: Argelia Molinar, Amparo Molinar, and Bertha Molinar. Lots of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving father, Dolorez Molinar.

Martha was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, friend and nana. Her life was a testament of strength, love, faith, and resilience. Her gentle spirit, warm smile, and kind heart touched the lives of all who knew her. Though she will be dearly missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends

Those wishing to Honor Martha’s memory may do so, by donating to Mt. Carmel Hermitage in Cristoval, TX at Carmelitehermits.org/donations.htm
