Martha Rose Grant, 83 of Arlington, Texas, passed away with dignity, grace, and in peace on Thursday, November 24, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, December 1, 2022, with visitation at 2:00 PM, at Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home in Odessa, Texas. Pastor Dean Duckett will be officiating.

Martha was born in Kermit, Texas, to Robert Franklin Pruitt and Florence Alice Smith on August 26,1939, in Kermit, Texas.  She met the love of her life, Elmer Carl Grant, at the age of 16 and celebrated 49 years of marriage.   They married on January 13,1956, in Wichita Falls, Texas.  She was a wife, mother and joint owner of the family businesses.  She also taught special reading education in the Buena Vista School district for several years until retiring. She was a coauthor of the Pecos Country Historical History book and achieved a grant for the Imperial Public Library.  Martha was a member of Tate Springs Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Martha is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl Grant; son, Marty Carl Grant; son-in-law, Rick Cagle; sisters, Bobbie Klepper and Ruth Graham; granddaughter, Amber Dawn Nessmith, and greatgrandsons, Jaden Byren Davis and Stetson Hauss Cagle.

Martha is survived by her children, DeLane Cagle of Iraan, Texas, Joy and Rick Choate of Arlington, Texas and Pam and Steve McLaren of Klondike, Texas; grandchildren, Jacqueline and Jeremy Pullen of Monahans, Texas, Carla and Zeth Davis of Monahans, Texas, Jennifer and Dee Meadors of Fort Stockton, Cortney Cagle of Iraan, Texas, Cody Cagle of Iraan, Texas, Travis McLaren of Klondike, Texas, Trevor and Lauren McLaren of Lubbock, Texas, Tayton and Becky McLaren of Denton, Texas; and great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Grant, Emmitt Pullen, Crystal Davis, Marshal Davis, Weston Davis, and Corbin Davis all of Monahans, Texas, Kaiden Hall, Saitlyn Hall, and Klayton Hall all of Monahans, Texas, Colton Cagle, Dawson Cagle and Cannon Grisby all of Iraan, Texas, Emma McLaren, Dallas McLaren and Lacey McLaren all of Lubbock, Texas, and Pyper McLaren and Hudson McLaren of Denton, Texas.

Pall Bearers will be nephews, Allen York, Mike York, and Bill Graham and grandsons Travis McLaren, Trevor McLaren, Tayton McLaren, and Cody Cagle.  Honorary Pall Bearers Jeremy Pullen and Zeth Davis.
