Margie Lee Jackson, 84, of Odessa, Texas, passed away peacefully Monday, March 20, 2023.

She was born June 28, 1938, to Joe and Vida White in Rising Star, Texas.

Margie was a devoted wife to William Jackson for 58 ½ years, a loving mother to Thomas and John Jackson, and a devoted grandmother to Adrienne, Christian and Madison.

She had a fun, loving, vibrant spirit that resonated in all her activities. Tennis was her passion, whether she was on the court or watching it on TV. She loved playing bridge with he friends and hosting many parties.

Always a lady, Margie’s manners never failed her, even in the later stages of her dementia.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Joe White; and her husband, William Jackson.

Margie is survived by her sister, Sue Swan; her two son, Tom & John Jackson; daughter-in-law, Daphne Dowdy Jackson and Ava Jackson; grandchildren, Adrienne Jackson- Neely, Christian Jackson, and Madison Jackson; nieces, Julie Walker, Jennifer Walker; and great niece, Maeka Walker-Goodman.

There will be a graveside service Thursday, March 3, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa, Texas. Reverend Dr. Jimmy Braswell will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a memorial donation be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or a charity of your choice.

The family would also like to express their appreciation to Margie’s special friend and caretaker, Millie Pina and Heart to Heart Hospice Care
