Louise Kendall

Louise Kendall, 84, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on November 15, 2023, at her home with friends and family present. Louise was born in Bryan, Texas, to Joe and Pauline Rodriquez. She was one of 12 children.

Louise was married in 1977 to James D. Kendall, the love of her life.

Memorial services will be held at 11am on November 24, 2023, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Danny Skaggs officiating.

Louise is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Pauline Rodriquez of Bryan, Texas; her husband, James D Kendall; brothers, Henry Rodriquez of Odessa, Texas and William Rodriquez of Hearne, Texas; sisters, Josephine Cervantes of Odessa, Texas, Helen Coronado of Culver City, California, Beatrice Garcia of Bryan, Texas, and Frances Cordero of San Diego, California. 

Louise is survived by sisters, Esther Mora of San Antonio, Texas, Ramona Griffin of Bryan, Texas, Gena Villegas of Santaquin, Utah, Dorothy Galvan of Culver City, California; brother Joseph Rodriquez of Culver City, California; son, Robert Rodriguez and his wife Dora; grandchildren, Joeray Galindo, Kimberly Ann Anaya, Rene Rodriguez, and Robert Jr Rodriguez; and 11 great grandchildren.

Louise worked on the family farm at an early age, which had remained her favorite place to spend time. Louise worked at Medical Center Hospital for over 20 years before retiring. She was a very caring and thoughtful person. She loved people and always made people smile. She wrote poems and loved to read. She loved getting lottery tickets and winning. She also loved to sing.

She had a special relationship with her son Bobby. They lived and worked together. She always called him her palie (loving pal). They both loved and cared for each other through their ups and downs.
