Louie Leon French

Louie Leon French, 67, passed away peacefully at his home on May 2, 2026, in Odessa, Texas.

Louie was born on June 30, 1958, in Odessa, Texas to Elbert and Irene (little mama) French.

Raised in Odessa, Texas Louie worked very hard all of his life in the oilfield as a plugging supervisor for multiple companies and up until his recent illness leading to his retirement from Gran Lago services.

He was the happiest at a Car show and always sharing stories about is beloved cars his 1965 El Camino and his ’66 Nova.

On June 8, 1999, Louie married the love of his life Barbara French in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Louie is preceded in death by his mom and his dad.

Louie is survived by his loving wife of 27 years Barbara French. His sister Lucille and Husband Jerry Freeze; his daughters, Karen Collins, Amy French, Robbin and husband Kenneth Ainsworth; his sons Rusty and wife Summer Criswell and Todd Criswell; He has 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Saturday May 9th, 2026, with Jerry Freeze officiating. Arrangements are by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
