Lois Marie Elms

Lois Elms. 97, of Odessa, TX passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at home. 

Lois Marie Bean was born in 1928, in Jackson County, Oklahoma. As a child, she lived on a farm with her parents Nicholas and Olna and her three siblings, Louise, Lloyd, and Nicky. 

Lois married her high school sweetheart, Leon Elms on February 8, 1947. She and Leon lived on a farm in Jackson County, Oklahoma until 1957. Lois worked as a bookkeeper at the Warren gin while Leon farmed. It was in Oklahoma that their two children , Denise and Steven were born. In the late 1950's, the family moved to Crane, TX then to Odessa,TX. It was in Odessa that she and Leon bought a restaurant. 

Lois was a dedicated mother and wife and faithful member of Central Baptist Church. She helped at the restaurant while taking care of the children. She loved her family and especially loved helping with her grandchildren Nash Elms and Darcie Smith. 

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Lloyd Bean and his wife Lavon; and sister, Louise Shiffer and her husband Jim. 

She is survived by her daughter, Denise Elms ; and son, Steven Elms and his wife Sandra ; brother Nicky Bean and his wife Janet; grandson Nash Elms and his wife Amber and grand daughter Darcie Smith ; and great-grand daughter Harper all of Odessa. 

She was truly loved and will be severely missed.
