Elaine Bell 86 of Odessa, Texas passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at Mission Dorado Baptist Church with her pastor Jonathan Coleman officiating.  A burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Elaine was born in Emmett, Texas, on October 25, 1936, to Cabe and Beatrice Hambrick. Elaine graduated from Olney High School in 1955.

Elaine’s daughters, Gayla and Leisa were both born in Odessa.

Elaine was the secretary at Sherwood Baptist Church. She then went to work in the Ector County Tax Office.  She married Bob Bell in January 1974.  They moved to Ozona, Texas where she worked in the Crockett County Tax office until her retirement.

She was an avid square dancer and loved traveling across the country with Bob. She also loved serving in her church. She loved her family and Jesus. She was a woman of great faith.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bob Bell; her daughter, Gayla Sanders; son-in-law, James Sanders, and son-in-law Kevin Harden.

She is survived by her daughter, Leisa Harden of Odessa, Texas;

her stepsons, Randy Bell and daughter-in-law, JoAnn, Roger Bell and daughter-in-law, Karen of Odessa, Texas; grandchildren, Bethany, Ryan, and Aaron Harden , Allen Sanders and wife Dusty , Brian, Shannon, and Chad Bell and his wife Meghan, Ashlea Bullard and her husband Ryan, Kendra House and her husband Tanner, Andrew Bell and his wife Janelle; great grandchildren, Joey Harden-Stewart, Nickolas and Ryan Bignall, Jada Bell, Addy Bell, Lawson, Tynley and Sutton Bell, Dawson, Parker and Madi Bullard, Levi, Miya, Audie and Shepherd House

Jaxton, Slaton and Beckham Bell.

We would like to say a very special heartfelt thank you to Maria Garcia who helped love and care for Elaine, our mother and our Mamaw over these last few months.

A big thank you to Darlene Culp and Della Copeland.

Thank you, Keri Brooks, for making a special house call to do her hair and making her feel like a million dollars.

Thank you to Caroline, Miriam, Maria, Nancy, Jennifer and all the other hospice nurses that loved and cared for her. Thanks also to pastor Chris with Hospice.
