Leslie Allen Unruh, was also known as Les, and Pa. Les was born in Enid Oklahoma on December 18th 1928. He attended Highschool in Enid Oklahoma. He met his lovely wife Mary Anne and got married on December 20th 1947 at her Grandmothers house in Garber Oklahoma. Les worked at a lumber company while living in Enid Oklahoma, then started working for sears after moving to Texas with his wife. After a few years of working for Sears, he bought 2 of their trucks and began working independently which he did until he retired at the age of 85. He was involved in bowling leagues where him and his wife both competed together, and separately, and won multiple awards for.

Les was loved by so many people. He was mostly known for his sense of humor. He loved doing handy man work and tasks around the house. He enjoyed his family coming to see him and getting to spend time with his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and even great great grandchildren. Les also enjoyed cheering on his favorite football teams from home, the Oklahoma Sooners, and the Dallas cowboys, and going to every Permian game he was able to go to, to support his MOJO football. Les also liked going to the races to support and cheer on his great grandson Tanner and his father Philip. If he couldn’t be there, he would make sure he called and asked how it went for them. Anytime you went to his house, you could guarantee one of two things were playing on TV, the news, or anything that had John Wayne in it!  Les was known to talk your ear off about anything and everything. There was never a time in the day that he wouldn’t drink a hot cup of coffee. No matter what mood you were in, Les never failed to make you laugh at least once. He made such an amazing impact on so many peoples lives.

Leslie Unruh is preceded in death by his parents, Tobe and Minnie Unruh, along with 6 of his siblings.

Leslie Unruh is survived by his wife, Mary Anne Unruh, his children Kim Holmes, and Roger Unruh, his siblings Claud Unruh, Gerald and Norma Unruh, and Bill and Donna Unruh, his grandchildren Deana and Philip Houston, and Kristy and Allen Ogas.
