May 26, 1921 — May 16, 2011
Leon Dene Sledge, age 89, of Odessa, passed away Monday, May 16, 2011 in Midland, Texas.
Leon was a WWII Veteran and a member of Eisenhower Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents Luther and Tinnie Sledge, a son, Jimmie G. Sledge, a granddaughter, Misty Dawn Baker, a sister and four brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Nina B. Sledge of Odessa daughter, Glenda Joyce Hillis of Odessa 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and a sister, Edith Williams of Comanche, Texas.
Visitation with the family will be 68 PM Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, May 20, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Alan Weakland officiating.
