Larry Hines, Sr. (1959-2025)

Larry Hines Sr. was called to be with his Lord and Savior on April 28, 2025. He passed peacefully at home in Odessa, Tx. His funeral will be held Saturday, May 10, 2025, 12:00 PM, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Tony McCrohan officiating. Funeral and remembrance will be in the chapel and burial service will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. 

Larry Gene Hines Sr. was born at Midland Memorial Hospital on April 13th, 1959. Raised in Robert Lee, TX, and Odessa, TX, Larry graduated from OHS in 1978, and married the love of his life Wendy Braswell the same year and had two children, Brandy and Larry Jr. He had a long career as a branch manager with Victaulic Supply. He received a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from UTPB in 1989. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon Hines and Dessie Kingston; brother, Randy, wife of 39 years, Wendy; and grandson, Chris. He is survived by his sister, Thresa and husband Jerry Absher; daughter and son in law, Brandy and Jeremy Ham; son and daughter in law, Larry Jr. And Virginia Mae Hines; and four grandchildren, Serenity, Emma, Blake, and Bailey. 

Pallbearers are Larry Hines Jr., Jeremy Ham, Danny Abbot Jr., Robert Hines Navarette, Kadyn Weeks, and Nicholas Hatcher. 

The family would like to thank all friends and relatives in attendance and Sunset Memorial Funeral Home for today's services. We would also like to extend a special thanks to Hailey Hatcher, an especially dedicated and professional nurse, for helping us through this difficult time.
